A series of outdoor parties in the heart of our city

Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda

Emerging from Melbourne's bubbling underground, Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda (LIVE) is the live 3-piece evolution of Melbourne DJ/producer Harvey Sutherland's renowned solo project. Featuring Harvey himself on keys, Graeme Pogson on drums and Tamil Roegon on electric strings, Bermuda propels Harvey classics & fresh cuts into an immersive disco excursion. Harvey's lo-fi boogie and Roland house music has been cult hit amongst dancefloor aficionados worldwide, claiming the support of tastemakers Bradley Zero, Tom Noble and Motor City Drum Ensemble. The band's latest 12” "Priestess/Bravado comes via Sutherland’s own Clarity Recordings imprint ; two modern disco burners that summon the instrumental experiments of Patrick Adams or Arthur Russell.  Armed with the mighty Juno 60 synthesiser, deep-pocket live drums and a one-man electric string section, Harvey Sutherland & Bermuda sweat it out with the crowd, luring you deep into their wormhole of jazzy disco-funk.

Commonly known as Australia’s First Lady of Disco, Club DJ and Radio announcer CC:DISCO has been spreading the good gospel across dance floors and over the airwaves since 2010, and has firmly secured her place in one of the most respected cities in the world for underground music… Melbourne, Australia.

Having played some of the world’s biggest dance music festivals, she's no stranger to a heaving crowd. Her unflinching ability to command a dance floor with her eclectic signature disco, boogie and house sets has made her a sought after international DJ, playing shows throughout North America, Europe and more. Not only has she thrown down her uniquely vibing sets at every classic Melbourne venue from The Mercat, New Guernica to Toff, Boney, Revolver and My Aeon she’s also conquered local festivals Strawberry Fields, Falls Festival, Sugar Mountain, Paradise Festival, Boogie Festival and of course recently Groovin the Moo.

A radio veteran of 16 years, her unique and refreshingly honest approach to interviewing guests and curating quality music has resulted in her Friday night PBS FM show ‘Smoke And Mirrors’ amassing a huge and dedicated following. It’s also resulted in some of the world’s biggest disco and house artists guesting on her show including Greg Wilson, Jacques Renault, Suzanne Kraft, Andras Fox, Harvey Sutherland, Horse Meat Disco to name a few.

Set to release long awaited CC:DISCO! edits in 2016, our First Lady of Disco is poised to unleash her trademark good time disco bliss on the world.

Ben Fester

Touching more wax than food, hearing more music than words, Sydney enigma Ben Fester has become a staple of the underground. Running the illustrious Heavenly parties for over four years now, and humbly flooring crowds in his own right, Ben is a perfect example of the DJ’s DJ.

The pedigree of selectors that Fester has supported around the country leaves no question about his prowess as a DJ, having shared the stage with Floating Points, Jay Daniel, Omar S, Mr Ties, Sex Tags, Marcellus Pittman, Kyle Hall, Madteo, Ben UFO, Moodymann, Move D and many, many more.

Whether heating up the festival stages of OutsideIn, Subsonic and Strawberry Fields, or heating up the Boiler Room, Fester’s ingenuity is as a tastemaker is undeniable. A regular on the airwaves, Fester has held a residency on Sydney’s FBi Click radio show for over a year before transitioning to the Thursday Sunset slot on FBI alongside Kato & Mira Boru.

With overseas touring and original releases in the mix for 2017, Sydney’s favourite DJ is spreading his wings. More good music, to all kinds of people, in all kinds of places.

The Possé

The Possé are a new face to many people. The five piece run by Andrew Elston and Ross Ferraro is comprised of veterans from all over Australia’s music scene. After a year of knuckling down in the studio and a string of sold out shows they’ve boiled down their favourite influences into an incredible, raw, funked out live show and production team.

Watch out for The Posse’s debut EP, Our Thing, featuring contributions from Andrew Elston (Physique/Toni Toni Lee, Ross Ferraro & Jarrol Renaud (The Goods), Michael Di Francesco (Touch Sensitive/Van She) and jazz keys maestro Andrew Bruce.

Haiku Thompson & Rydeen

Haiku Thompson

Haiku Thompson is a lover of big horn sections and well programmed drums, though not necessarily at the same time. With a passion for music with soul and a beat to groove to, Mr. Thompson's selections glide from disco to techno with ease. He's just as comfortable sitting at home with a cup of tea listening to records with friends as he is in the wee hours of the morning in the thick of a heaving dance floor.

He's been making crowds move with sets at some of Sydney's best underground parties including In The House and Haus of the Rising Sun as well as appearing at People's Club supporting Sydney's best.

Catch him nightly in Haberfield, annoying his house mates or out and about playing music he loves.

Raised on a healthy diet of new wave in the Australian countryside, Ry stumbled into Sydney’s hot and heavy dance music scene from the left fields of jazz and electronica. Host of the radio program Fear of Music on UNSW Blitz and gaining DJ chops in the backyards, basements and living rooms of Sydney. Rydeen has featured at underground parties such as Haüs of the Rising Sün and local club nights like People’s Club, learning first hand from some of the best acts playing in Sydney.

Part of the internet melting pot of musicians and DJs who are lucky enough to grow up with the synth programming of Mr Fingers standing alongside Miles Davis’ trumpet work. Ry gets dance floors moving with an ear for beautiful production, one foot grounded in a dusty, soulful history and another in a funky, synthetic future.
