Back in 2012, Roland Tings seemingly materialised out of thin air. An elusive bedroom producer who somehow caught the attention of famed dance label 100% Silk before anyone in his hometown, he immediately became the go-to- guy for Melbourne's most raucous house parties and basement clubs.
After releasing his debut EP on the LA based imprint he went on to spend the following years touring Australia, Europe and Asia with his propulsive live show. Having supported acts like Factory Floor, Chet Faker, Optimo and Juan Atkins, Roland quickly made his way on to festival stages around Australia.
In 2015 his debut self titled album was released by Norwegian label Internasjonal. It was crowned Triple J Feature Album, a rare feat for an outsider house record of hyperactive repetition. Roland quickly sold out his national headline tour following the album's release and cemented his place as one of Australia’s forward thinking voices in electronic music. The second half of 2016 has seen Roland tour the US extensively with Chrome Sparks and Rufus before a return to Australia for a string of summer festival dates.
